Adrinskald Samsson the skaldic persona of writer and visionary Adrian Spendlow used his specially created Casting Map of the Nordic world with his other tools including the Nordic God Cards and cards of Journey. All these tools are created by him and well established in use through his work in the ancient city of Jorvik.
And I the Seer Adrinskald Samsson known of all Jorvik, much employed by those that dig the bones, who study the finds of the earth, I eat of the blood red root and fruit, gathered sweetness of the bees, gluttonous mass of the milk of beasts, sip of the strong drink, sweeten my mind with pure waters and heady herbs. I eat of the woodland being, taking flesh of leaping freedom of the ocean, barrelled green of odorous journey. I breathe of the rotting and the healthy; breathing in deep the compound of spice that burns. I stare into the flames, and Spirit-gather told me I would be here for you some weeks ago Kin-caller. Within the flame are pools of magical lands, the inner shore and wailing loud and strong and show weapons of the beast: your spirit creature rises through the Fulyar-deity to be strong within you; I name him; Walrus. In him you shall be Kin-caller.
Here in Midgard the Seer from the dark of cave of Nifleheim has climbed from the nothing of the Ginungagap, undressed of the flight-skin and stepped to your halls. Stare with me into the smoke and see the visions. Curl within the furs and take their being. Dream a life and see.
Odin Kin-gather threw the sticks to start the world. Life and forests and the great Tree; Yggdrasil rose up within the centre of this round flat land and on its roots and branches stood many lands; known and unknown, dreamt about and longed for in the spirit. Some worlds were already there from long ago and Tree simply grew to join them, calling awareness down to meet and wonder. Heavens and Journey itself are there for us and so you will die. Die in this story to return to where you stand and hold this, to be forever renewed in awareness.......

Samsson known of all Jorvik, much employed by those that dig the bones;
studying the finds of the earth clear my mind for times of thought of all
but you and I prepare:
I drink of the ancientness of oceans for wisdom of the tides and world,
to know the where and forever-when from within the stone bones of their
treasure holding, of calming leaves of sleep-world?s steady settling dream,
of that fermented-now-soured to still the tongue and keep the heart, of
gathered sweetness of the all knowing bees the busy keepers of word and
deed, of essence of and reed of the breathing clearing tree, of loves beauty
in the red red blossoms of all time?s recalling richness, of pulsed-up once
forgotten dried and replenished; here sweet, of the echoes of faraway purpose
brewed to eat the sugar and bring us new ways, of the cold gift of rain;
I eat of the long broken pod that stored will be reborn as growth food,
of the plant that flies which speaks of faerie worlds and cleansing, of
the web of the many-eyed crafter, of root of tears and fruit of worlds,
of barrelled earth heart, of meadow-wild beauty, of ocean?s root, of the
living pulp that enlivens the grain, of earth, of wild-found root, of ancient
seas and all gods growth, of hardened time remembered here in stone, of
dried and gathered flattened stored, of blood red root that bleeds and I
just by chance I bleed from recent accidental burn and suck the wound.
Here now in the nomad home I breathe the burning sweetness and stare into
the flame your flame.
